Esta noche, desde las 6:30 p.m. sea partícipe del lanzamiento del calendario 2012 titulad ‘Testimonio Artístico Colombiano’....El trabajo fue hecho en la Litografía la Bastilla y consta del trabajo de doce exponentes del arte nacional “que son sus obras ejemplo de madurez estética y con este calendario entran a formar parte de un universo más iluminado, más reconocido y más próspero”.

El evento estará amenizado musicalmente por el maestro Marcel Tarazona Díaz y el Grupo Los Tres.

Rafael Espitia es un reconocido pintor cartagenaero por sus murales, premios y gran trayectoria en la pintura. Es un artista que se deja seducir por la coquetería de los movimientos, las  curvas bien definidas de sus musas y las miradas enigmáticas de sus pícaras mujeres.

En su pintura refleja una alta sensibilidad hacia la belleza del cuerpo femenino, y se deja seducir de sus gestos y actitudes....

Area 23 Galeria’s Pop-Up Exhibit at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club

Key Biscayne art lovers gathered at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club on Saturday, March 19 for a one a of a kind pop-up exhibition by one of Wynwood’s hottest galleries, Area 23 Galeria. The gallery itself is not new, but it recently over went an extensive overhaul as it was purchased by prominent art collector, Alberto Linero . The gallery’s aesthetic has changed dramatically and is due for a revisit as Linero’s mission is to showcase the area’s hautest young contemporary art. Four of the artists from the previous collection have remained in the showroom as their works match that of new gallery’s.

The 15 colorful pieces on display featured art by Santiago Betancur, Rafael Espitia, Nelly del Rio, Leonardo Moleiro and Juliana Duque.

El artista cartagenero Rafael Espitia, expondrá durante el mes de octubre en la Galería Espitia, en el barrio Castillogrande, su serie "Momentos".

Son 16 obras de gran formato dentro de los que se encuentran El Inicio, La Cuerda, Unión Libre, La Novia y Luna.
 
Espitia, quien empezó a pintar desde los 13 años, es el autor de los murales del Centro de Convenciones de Cartagena, el Hotel Las Américas y el Hotel Capilla del Mar.

Rafael Espitia was born in Cartagena, a precocious child who exhibits since he was 13 years old. Studies art and history of arts in Bogota, Madrid and New York. After receiving awards in Spain and continuing exhibitions, he is comissioned to make murals, the best of his city. 42 years being seduced, and this time, women continue doing it.

Ocho modelos sensuales de más de dos metros de altura desfilaron hace más de un mes por la carrera con 76, como si flotaran. Estaban semidesnudas, parecía que destellaran colores y olían a acrílico. Eran las pinturas del cartagenero Rafael Espitia, quien recién inauguró su galería-estudio en Bogotá con la exposición "Mis Mujeres".

Lo femenino, la mujer que se rebela, la que se viste como quiere, la coqueta y que dice "Ven conmigo" (como el titulo de una de sus obras) lo inspiran.....
